Brad Smith is a professional artist and craftsman who lives in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia.
His body of work includes realistic pencil drawings of traditional mountain living, historical green wood craft, and whimsical folk art carvings.
Brad is a craft instructor at the Jacksonville Center in Floyd , Virginia where he teaches classes in drawing, carving roosters, and green woodcraft. He has also been accepted to teach upcoming classes at Chestnut Creek School of the Arts in Galax, Virginia .
Brad’s work is displayed at the Country Store in Floyd, Treasure Pots in Fancy Gap, City Gallery in Galax and Galaria in Clarkesville, all in Virginia, as well as The Main Oak Emporium in Mt. Airy , and Stone Mountain Country Store in Stone Mountain State Park , both in North Carolina .
